Team CH comes to town....

This weekend while Mom was livin it up in Miami (more to come on that!) I was home with Dad. Since he was playing in the Smash Tennis Tournament, Cody and Christy came in town to help out. I am SOOOO proud of Dad, he and Tracey WON their tournament.....Pretty good for his 2nd tournament, huh?  My daddy is an ATH-LETE...just like me! Why am I an athlete at only a few days shy of 6 mos?Well, I'll tell ya! I did my first walk for charity! {well technically I strolled} Team CH was trying to raise money for Rachel's Challenge and I was team captain! It was a little rainy so we bundled up and raised some dinero! Thanks Team CH for coming to babysit! I miss you already!

Dear Nutella.......

Dear Nutella~
I hate to say this but the time has come when I think it is best that we change the nature of our relationship. We have been very close lately and your nutty taste and silky texture have been a great source comfort and joy in my life. You were a vital part of my sanity during my pregnancy and for that I thank you. However, I feel it is time that like my friend wedding cake, you are going to need to be a "special occasion" friend. We met during my days living in Italy and while I don't hold you completely responsible, you were a vital part of my 20+lb weight gain. I have loved you ever since but feel that at this time it's best if I cut you off. Slade has come to appreciate your chocolate-y goodness and in all honestly, it's just not a healthy relationship. I know, your commercial says you can be part of a "tasty balanced breakfast" but no one I know puts you on a piece of whole grain bread like the mom in the commercial...and while I do have you occasionally at breakfast, I don't stop there! Yes, you are made with skim milk and yes, I am sure in 1 tablespoon servings you are not "that bad." But in my many years as your friend, I have yet to only be able to have 1 tablespoon at a time. I am sorry dear friend, but I must let you go or I fear I will end up like this....
Much love,
Linds

I can sit!!!!

I sit now!!!!...buuuuut not for very long. So, since Mom was MIA all last week and she kinda feels ugh today cause her toof hurts where she got a filling, she has been hangin with me all day! I been having some problems with my hips, they are a little tight, so I don't really like to be on my tummy or in a sitting position so we worked on that today. I mean please, with a body like this I gotta stretch out! I really only like to be on my tummy if Molly is there on her tummy too. I think it's really fun to hang with her and sometimes we even hold hands...only as friends.. cause we are cousins and we don't live in Arkansas. Anywho, Mom set me up and I would sit there and watch my toy where the little chicks dance and sing "We've got the tweets" instead of "We've got the beat"...LOVE that toy! I would sit until I would get to excited then I would fall over. I might have face planted a few times cause my mother was a little slow on the uptake...real cool, I know. Mom was busy last week but I had a great time! I got to hang with Bebe on Wed, spend the night with Gan on Thurs, SteveO on Friday and then Rizzle on Sat. I mean my dance card was FULL!!! It was almost like every time I would go to sleep then SURPRISE there was someone different there when I woke up...greatness!

HA! I rolled over!

Overcommitted, Exhausted, Fun..but glad I'm done!

Wow, not sure where to even begin. It's been a CRAZY week and yes, I realize it's been a WHOLE WEEK since I blogged...the nerve! Last week I tried to get a years worth of community service/social events into one week!! I mean I have had a lot of bad ideas in my day but being co-chair of Cattle Barons decorations committee and hosting a Carrilon party in the same week topped off with two dental fillings might be up there with one of the worst..oh yeah and mothering a 5 month old. It's amazing Knox even remembers me. It started on Tues with me trying to get everything done for the week/weekend because I knew I would be gone and then I didn't stop again really until this afternoon. Wednesday Brooke and I arranged all the flowers and set up all the tables ect. for the Carillon party at Nonnie's house. Thursday morning I dropped Knox off at Gan's and headed to the Ag barn which would become my home away from home. I did everything from stringing Christmas lights, moving hay bails, moving shrubs/trees, hanging signage and answered a bunch of questions that I pretty much made up the answers to. Then around 5 I headed home to do a quick change and then off to the Carillon party where we set up tables, made cocktails, served food, did small talk, ate and finally headed home around 11ish.  We did make a Champagne Mojito which is HEAVENLY! Friday morning I was at the Ag barn by 8:45 and Brooke and I spent most of the day doing all of the flower arrangements for the whole event..seriously between that and the Carillon party we probably did 50 arrangements...funny since I was pretty much winging it the whole time! I got home Friday night around 10pm. SteveO came in and kept Knox for us and then Dad flew Sharon in on Sat so he was covered for the whole weekend.  Thank you Rizzle and SteveO for coming and sorry I got to see you for like 10 min! Sat I was up  and at UPS by 8am.  I also almost drove to Byers because I was so tired that I totally missed my turn. Why? Oh, that's because UPS was holding my Cattle Baron's dress hostage. It was in town and ON THE PREMISES but they wouldn't give it to me...ugh there are no words for the anger. I literally think there was smoke coming out my ears when he told me he wouldn't give it to me! I will be using Fed-Ex from this point fwd!
So I head back to the barn for finishing touches and leave around 3 to go get my hair did. It was the first time I sat down for an extended period of time in days! I left there, ran by the parents so Pat could meet Knox then home to get and outfit picked out and makeup on in about 30 minutes.
Fast fwd 45 minutes....Slade and I are walking in the ball, have put my purse down and gotten a drink when I realize that ummm I have on no deodorant...yeah, so excited. I make Slade go with me and we go BACK to the car and run to Walgreens to get me a little deodorant. You know you are tired when you forget an essential like deodorant.
The event was a success! We raised $280,000 and Pat was great and the food was amazing! By midnight I was finished and needed sleep so we came home only to wake up and go break it all down at 10am Sun...talk about a WHIP! I can't believe it 2 years I agreed to be CHAIR of decorations!
Today I got 2 fillings filled and remembered why I hate dental work. I had to run a few errands of course I ran into about 10 people I know with half of my face numb...that pretty much sums up my week!
Of course I took no pics but Brooke did so when I get some of her's i'll post them.
